Tea Addict is an online store offering customers a wide variety of black, green, white, herbal and fruit loose leaf teas. The concept was developed from a frustration of not being able to purchase a wide variety of quality loose leaf tea. Since Tea Addict began meeting the demands of its valued customers, their dedication has grown to educate and delight those people who enjoy a beautifully made cup of tea.

Problem

Tea Addict approached hive.net.au as a start up business requiring a simple to manage e-Commerce solution.

Solution

The hive.net.au team designed and deployed an e-Commerce website built upon a Content Management System (CMS) platform. Due to the nature and variety of Tea Addict products available through the online store, the Hive.net.au development team integrated the Magento web application as it is the leading open source e-Commerce solution.

Magento provides versatility and freedom as it allows the administrator to control every facet of their store from its simple to use interface. Orders are managed from an admin panel enabling them to be viewed, created and fulfilled, invoices and packing slips created and email notifications sent. Magento's inbuilt Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) features provide for a search engine friendly platform upon which monthly SEO maintenance can be conducted. Furthermore, this e-Commerce solution was also integrated as it supports growth of the online store and product catalogues.

Results

Since going live in early July of this year, teaaddict.com.au has been generating 83% of traffic from search engines and this is without monthly maintenance being conducted.
